Jim Schleckser

Jim Schleckser works with GWE as our Business Consultant. Jim has over 20 years of experience in leading international high technology companies in multiple industries. He is CEO of the CEO Project, LLC a firm committed to the improvement of CEOs of middle market companies.

Previously, Jim was responsible for the $250 million telecommunications service assurance business of Spirent PLC, located in Rockville, Maryland. He focused on extending the business in Europe and Asia, while continuing to grow their position as the leading provider in North America of telecommunications network and service assurance and testing solutions for IP, DSL and business broadband services.

Jim has also successfully built, acquired and lead several companies, including operating business units with multiple sites across four countries a group that grew by over 300% under his leadership.

The author of over a score of published presentations, technical papers and articles, Jim holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware and an MBA from the University of Connecticut.

He has been on the board of directors of the Telecommunications Industry Association and the advisory board of "Telecommunications" magazine. He is also the past Chairman of Junior Achievement of the National Capitol Area and on the Cable and Communications Advisory Committee for Montgomery County, Maryland.

He plays and coaches soccer and is a multiple marathoner. He resides in Potomac with his wife, Denise and two children.
