Stewart Shannon

After spending two years in the viatical settlement industry, Stewart founded Assured Viatical Inc. in 1999. In 2001, as the market matured and moved away from viatical settlements, he then founded AVI, LLC. In 2004, a partnership with Greenberg, Wexler & Eig, & AVI, was formed to create another firm: Money for Life, LLC, a life settlement brokerage firm.

This strategic alliance between Money for Life, LLC and Greenberg, Wexler & Eig, LLC, allows for the Principals of GWE to focus on their core businesses, while providing their clients the services of an in-house life settlement brokerage firm. In this new role and partnership, Stewart has made multiple production agreements with the country's leading institutional funding companies of life settlements. Stewart has also partnered with Greenberg, Wexler & Eig, LLC to offer employee benefits, personal life insurance planning, corporate life insurance planning and wealth transfer planning for his clients.

Stewart is a third generation Washingtonian and spent the early years of his career working for his families real estate company. Stewart has BS in real estate finance from the American University. He and his wife, Maura, live in Chevy Chase, MD.
